Welcome to the Laabs Family website. As you can see, its not much of anything yet, but just imagine what it could become…ok, so maybe nothing that big, but at least we can share pictures between the extended family.

This site is…at least theoretically…updated and maintained by Mark Joseph Laabs. Mark was born to Albert and Meta Laabs in Memphis, Tennessee and has one brother, Keith Laabs, who is two years his junior. Albert runs the Tennessee Small Business Development Centers. Meta is the Director of Student Affairs Administration at the University of Memphis. Keith is an Associate at Bain and Company. Mark is the Director of European Operations for Climate Bridge, a carbon wholesaler.

Mark and Keith have only one aunt, Barbara van Hare, who is an executive at Hallmark. Her husband, Dave van Hare, is an organic chemist and works for a spin-off from BP-Amoco that trades hands too often to count.

Joyce Laabs Sheker is Mark and Keith’s only surviving grandparent. She’s over 80 but won’t let that keep her down. Just last month she headed off to Oman for an adventure.
